With the strength of five seniors, KML varsity chess defeated Kewaskum in a match hosted at KML today. KML achieved wins from
Ted on board 1, Olivia on board 2, and Luke on board 3. Isaac and Xander ended
in draws on boards 4 and 5. The future of chess at both KML and Kewaskum is
strong – with an additional 11 JV games played to grow experience of newer players. KML won 7 and drew one of those JV games, including wins from Ryan
(an 8th grader) and Jake (a 7th grader). And almost every
player took notation, which means we can learn from the games played tonight.
Great job, Chargers!
